Working Group Approves Monograph
Following an intensive year of discussion and deliberation, CRN’s Omega 3 Working Group has approved a draft voluntary monograph for omega 3 EPA and DHA to be circulated externally for review and comment. The draft is being sent to a broad audience including other members of the dietary supplement industry, regulators, standard-setting bodies and researchers with an interest in omega 3 fatty acids. The Working Group will carefully consider all comments prior to finalizing a voluntary monograph. Once the voluntary monograph is finalized, the Working Group plans to urge its adoption by official standard-setting bodies in the U.S. and internationally.
